The database is organized around Billboard Year-End Top 20 songs for every year from 1956 through 2024. Year-End charts summarize sustained performance over a chart year rather than a single week's ranking.

Spotify track links are included as a convenience where identifiers are available. Availability can differ by country and may change over time.

Historical context and playlist recommendations are independent editorial work built around the structured chart dataset.
